Ghanaian comedian, Ajeezay the Nonfa King has expressed shock at a deliberate attempt by some Nigerians to lay claim over a comic trend he created.
Ajeezay says he is the original creator of the ‘Don’t Leave Me’ challenge: a challenge involving wordplay where people merge names of different items or situations to create other words or concepts in a funny way.
The trend which it all over Twitter, Instagram and Facebook has been attributed to Nigerian comedian, Josh2Funny.
The first video of the challenge showed Josh and his comic partner, Bello Kred trying to project their intellect on audience using a leaf.
According to Ajeezay, this has been his style of comedy since he stepped the threshold of the comedy industry.
An example was when Ajeezay was seen sleeping on a plantain leaf and captioned his photo “I’m on leave [leaf].”
He has pleaded on Ghanaian to cherish and protect what is theirs.
