Actress Yvonne Nelson has expressed her displeasure at the reality that lawyers in Africa still wear wigs as part of their uniform.
This is one issue that keeps coming up on social media every now and then.
Yvonne believes there has to be something wrong with the continent adding that is it “embarrassing” to be doing a thing such as this.
“Something def wrong with the continent. I had this argument 3 months ago with @MysterGabby x @fdee50 its embarrassing,” she said in her tweet.
“The most educated can’t even break free from colonialism. Colonialism caged the African brain. We just cant let go,” the tweet further stated.
However, a fan who thought it was hypocritical comment citing she wears Peruvian and Brazilian hairs so she had no moral rights to call them out but she replied saying they should come for her hair if they so needed to wear one.
“Says someone who wears Peruvian and Brazilian hair…lmao,” the tweep noted.
“The lawyers can borrow mine. I’ve got afro wigs too. They can choose,” Yvonne replied.
