Musician Stonebwoy has disclosed that his father was a well-known disciplinarian in the neighbourhood in Ashaiman growing up.
He noted that his father used to beat him and other kids when their parents report them adding that it shaped him to be a respectful person.
Speaking to Nana Ama McBrown on United Showbiz June 27 2020, he narrated how he used to play with his father’s tape.
He said he used to record songs on his father’s sermon tapes that he was caught one day and received serious punishment.
“The whole Ashaiman, my father’s disciplinary tactics is not only known at home. It’s the whole Ashaiman. That’s how I grew up so my discipline and respect level is intact,” he said.
“People could call my dad to their homes to punish their kids. He was called the Old Soldier. If you have a stubborn kid, call my dad,” he added.
