Musician Asem has described the act of the artistes who tried to ‘resurrect’ Azonto as hypocrisy.
He said Azonto is alive and well and cannot be killed.
According to him, the vibe never died adding that they only wanted to ride on the wave.
He noted that it did not work because “Azonto refused to be used.”
“So my point is what happened to #BringBackAzonto? We only brought it back to kill it again? Such hypocrisy, you can never kill Azonto because Azonto never died. Azonto is well and alive. They just wanted to ride its wave again but this time Azonto refused to be used,” he tweeted.

Months back, Sarkodie entreated colleague artistes and industry persons to join in reviving the Azonto vibe.
He released a song to that effect and other artistes joined in but the whole noise died as soon as it started.
