Socialite Mona Faiz Montrage who is popularly known as Hajia4real has said she is willing to fight the cause of Africans believing women cannot achieve success independently.
She complained that it is high time this “nonsense” stops.
This comes on the back of Chairman Wontumi making claims on the radio that ex-president Mahama’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama snatched Mona from Kenpong and bought her a car and mansion as a birthday gift.
Reacting to the claims, Mona took to Instagram to post a statement from her lawyers which is seeking redress for defamation of character.
According to the statement released, Chairman Wontumi made “false and defamatory remarks” about Hajia4real also clarifying that she is not Mr Ibrahim Mahama’s girlfriend, she did not acquire her birthday gifts from him either and that she was not snatched from any man.
“It is only in Africa that some men think that women are incapable of achieving success independently of men. This nonsense must stop now!!! And I am willing to fight for this cause for myself and for other women of our land,” she posted.
To reiterate her point, she used the hashtag that says “women are capable”.
