Ghanaian rapper Edem has taken it upon himself to say a word of prayer for the president, Nana Akufo-Addo as he goes into a fourteen-day isolation period.
A statement dated July 4, 2020, signed by the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah noted that although the president tested negative for coronavirus, he is on a 14-day self-isolation following doctors advice.
βOn the advice of doctors, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is from today, July 4, 2020, taking a fourteen (14) day precautionary self-isolation measure in compliance with COVID-19 protocols,β the statement said.
βThe President will during this precautionary self-isolation period, be working from the Presidential
Villa at the Jubilee House, Accra,β the statement added.
After the word got out, Edem in a tweet assured the president that it is well and that prayers are being said in his honour.
