Artiste manager, Kwesi Ernest has disclosed that from all his experience and number of artistes he has managed over the years, he has not received the appreciation he deems fit.
According to him, if not for the fact that some artistes like himself are loud, they would not have been known at all.
Speaking to Adwoa Loud on Gh One TV’s Pundits show, he noted that he has come to terms with the situation and see himself as just someone who is helping a talent.
“For all the artistes that I’ve managed, I can tell on authority that I’ve not received that gratefulness that I’m supposed to receive but it got to a time for me I have to swallow all that pill; that bitter pill and see myself as a messiah,” he stated.
“I’m not sure some of them even remember I’m alive. For the past four months now, I manage artistes, how many of them have even picked up a phone and said that hey is our manager alive or that? But hey, life goes on. I see myself as a messiah, as a prophet. I’ve been called to this dispensation to fulfil a task. When the time comes, I’ll exit. Another person will come,” he added.
He also believes the “thank you” artistes say is even “fake” and that he does not need it.
