Musician Mzbel has revealed that colleague artiste, Castro’s girlfriends attacked her because they saw her relationship with him as a threat.
According to her, she met Castro because the producer, Jeff Tennyson Quaye, professionally known by his stage name Jay Q who recorded her songs was working with Castro at the time and forced them to do songs together.
She noted that Castro’s manager arranged a tour for herself and Castro in Ghana without their respective manager in the crew.
Speaking to Frema Adunyame and Ato Kwamina on Citi TV’s Upside Down show, she narrated how Castro and his friends started living with her after they returned from the tour.
“When the tour was done, we came home. I was living at Mallam so coming from Takoradi we have to come through Kasoa, Mallam so they came to my house. My sisters were there they made food we ate. I’m thinking these guys will go in the evening they didn’t go. They slept. The next day we were drinking, dancing, they slept again. They slept, slept, slept and then they started living with me,” she said
“So then everybody thought we were a couple but we were not dating… We were living in the same house with his boys, with my girls and he ends up in my room like many times but just end up there but he’s just in my room,” she added.
“But people thought we were dating and then I get so many attacks from his various girlfriends.
She also talked about how a girl attacked her in town thinking she was driving Castro’s car.
“They dragged me out of my car because they thought the car was for Castro and they said if Castro doesn’t come they’re not gonna give me my car”
Touching on how she felt about Castro going missing since July 6 2014, she stated that they fell out and they stopped talking for two years before his incident.
Mzbel and Castro have done songs including 16 Years, Edey Be and Yopoo.
