Musician Belinda Nana Akua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel has said Freda Rhymz and the other rappers who jumped on the Sista Afia and Eno Barony’s lyrical beef messed it up.
According to her, the beef was healthy from the start until “little girls” jumped on it to make fame.
She noted that they are supposed to earn their fame and not ride on other people and talking plenty.
In an interview with Frema Adunyame and Ato Kwamina on Citi TV’s Upside Down show, she said she was really impressed by Sista Afia’s rap prowess especially her improvement after Eno replied her first song.
“The beef between Sista Afia and Eno Barony, when it started it was healthy because Afia that we know is a singer. I didn’t know that she’s a rapper but the first rap that she did, it was okay. I’ll give her like 60 or 50 but after Eno replied she came back with something that was like 99 and she did it well and I admired that because Eno brought something out of Sista Afia.
“And she could comfortably call herself a rapper because she did it well. So it was healthy even though they were throwing shades and saying stuff it was normal then all of a sudden these little girls came out and they messed the whole thing up. They mess up the whole beef and then they will not even let go and everybody was just attacking Sista Afia,” she opined.
Weeks back, the female artistes doing rap were the talk as they released songs back to and threw jabs at each other.
It all started when Sista Afia, typically a singer released a diss song titled ‘WMT’ to cast aspersions on some artistes.
Freda Rhymes and Eno Barony joined later with individual replies.
Unfazed, Sista Afia released another song titled ‘You Got Nerves’ to put Eno in her place.
Eno’s ‘Argument Done’ came after that and in that there were shots directed at someone people assumed to be Medikal. The beef initially involved Eno Barony and Sista Afia but Freda joined and some others who did not get the spotlight as these people did.
