Media person Afia Schwarzenegger has said the only reason Ghanaians seem to have issues with her all the time is that she has a strong personality.
She noted that Ghanaians admire strong women who are not from here and that same treatment is given to some other notable women aside from herself.
Speaking to Frema Adunyame and Ato Kwamina on Citi TV’s Upside Down show, she Afia said she was brought up to be outspoken and that that is just how she is raising her daughter, Pena.
“Ghanaians, we adore confident women, strong women, outspoken women if they come from another country. Ghanaians don’t like me because I am confident and I’m strong. They don’t like Nana Aba Anamoah because of the same thing. They don’t like Delay because of the same thing. They don’t like Lydia Forson. So, who is perfect here?” she quizzed.
According to her, Gifty Anti was not like too but now she is being liked because she has grown old.
“They like Gifty Anti now because she is now old. They never liked her. While growing up, the stuff we used to hear about her was unprintable,” he stated.
