Media person Afia Schwarzenegger has said she would have taken former deputy minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah to court if she came into contact with him when he tested positive for the coronavirus and disobeyed the social distancing and self-isolation rule.
Mr Ahenkorah who is also the member of parliament for Tema west constituency tested positive for the virus and was instructed to self-isolate.
However, he chose to//// visit a voter’s registration centre in his constituency and had to resign.
Afia, in an interview with Ato Kwamina and Frema Adunyame on Citi TV’s Upside Down, she noted that she lost some people to the virus yet Ghanaians are just joking with its seriousness.
“COVID-19 is real and we are gambling with it. Take a look at our Minister, Carlos Ahenkorah. A whole minister of state, you were asked to isolate and you went out for air. You couldn’t go to Korle Bu mortuary, you left Korle Bu to Tema. What does self-isolation mean? Leadership by example. Yet we have some leaders who jump to his defence.
“If the man had hugged me, we would have been in the supreme court by now,” she said.
