TV3 Mentor fame’s Andy has revealed that he was poisoned during his days in the show but was advised against speaking about it.
He said competition breeds jealousy and hatred which was why he was poisoned although he cannot pinpoint who did, adding that he was told to keep quiet about it so not to mar the beauty of the show.
Speaking to Emelia Brobbey on her Okukuseku show he noted that he has been poisoned at least three times in his lifetime including when he contested in the reality show.
“I’ve been poisoned three times. Mentor time, I was poisoned…I was told in the hospital that the ailment that brought me there was poison,” he said.
When Emelia asked him how sure he was about whether it was not a normal food poisoning, he replied, “When I was poisoned during mentor, it was not food poisoning. It was something orchestrated by someone, put in either food or water to wipe you off the surface of the earth.”
He stated that during his days in the house, the food they ate was prepared by the women in the house and that he always ate late.
However, after the experience, he resorted to cooking for himself and being careful about what he consumed.
Touching on the other times he was poisoned, he revealed it happened during Sunyani Polytechnic’s ‘Miss Poly’ show.
He said he took a drink he was offered and vomited blood after which he was taken to the hospital.
