Broadcaster Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay has opened up about her past as regards the hustle she went through to survive.
According to her, hard economic conditions made her look ugly.
She said this in a video she shared on her Instagram page.
In the video, she talked about how she was mocked people she was ugly and could not speak English.
“I was called names, they said I can’t speak English, I am not beautiful enough. It wasn’t that I wasn’t beautiful, it is poverty that was taking photographs of me. Times were so hard that they were days that what to eat was hard for us,” she said.

In spite of all these, she was able to work hard to overcome all her fears and challenges in life.
She said she has now been able to achieve a lot for herself.
“Just last year, the house that I said I rented, I bought it and my canned foods are selling both in Ghana and abroad.” She added.
Delay is well known for The Delay Show which has won her spurs in the world of interviewing abilities.
