Ghanaian rapper Kwame Ametepee Tsikata who is known in Showbiz as M.anifest who is known for his unique style of dressing in beads, African prints, rings and general appearance has said he is an admirer of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

The rapper who has not publicly declared his support for any political party noted that his admiration has got nothing to do with politics.

During an interview on Citi TV’s Face to Face show, the host, Umaru Sanda Amadu asked him if he is a Nkrumahist.

“I definitely am a keen follower, admirer and appreciator of what Nkrumah did, his ideologies and his visionaries. I guess I subscribe to a lot of the pan African ideas and the sort of the progressive ideals that he served. I don’t know if Nkrumahist means thinking of it politically but I guess that’s how I see it. I definitely am a pro-Nkrumah person,” he replied.

Touching on Nkrumah’s achievements, M.anifest believes so much was achieved during his time as compared to now.

“If I’m just to use history as a mark out I’ll say there was a lot more achieved in that time. There was a lot more understanding of the national agenda even though some will argue that okay he made CPP the defacto whatever but I think there was an understanding of that development and that kind of understanding,” he stated adding that “I think partisanship has really hurt us over the years in which the idea of a national development  agenda and us disagreeing on many things but having a goal.”

Meanwhile, he says capitalism is “basically a few people trying to take advantage of a lot of people because you buy low and sell high.”
