While media interviews are seen as trading information and exposure between celebrities, the media platform and the listeners, it is a money-making venture for comedian Funny Face.
The comedian sure does knows how to make money from all avenues.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra100.5FM’s mid-morning show, Ayekoo Ayeeko on Wednesday, 5 August 2020, the comedian who is also an actor and musician disclosed he takes GHS10,000 before granting media interviews.
Funny Face was on talking about his marital problems, depression and his outbursts on social media when he passed the comment.
He gifted the host of the show a bottle of perfume worth GHS 3,500 and said “He’s [Nana Romeo] the only brand that can get me here. I take GHS10,000 before making an appearance at an interview for free. I take GHS10,000.”
Funny Face was recently on UTV’s United Showbiz where he clashed with actor, Lil win who was his friend.
The two have taken swipes at each other and made allegations until their meeting that night at UTV.
According to Funny Face, Lilwin instigated his wife to leave with their twin girls.
But when they met that night at UTV and ranted and poured out their hearts, they made peace.
Referencing that meeting, Funny Face claims he did not make that appearance for free.
“Despite’s [UTV] interview, the one that brought the fight, I took GHS50,000. Before you see me at an interview, GHS 50,000, but I didn’t know Lil Win was there, I wouldn’t have gone,” classfmonline.com quoted him to have said.
Touching on his marital problems, he reiterated that men should not “chase big buttocks, big buttocks will kill you.”
