Media person, Delay has stated that the reason she is not nominated for awards in the country is that she has been blacklisted by the organizers of the awards.
Although she has not won awards, she takes solace in the bible which talks about how Jesus was described with all kinds of adjectives.
According to her, Jesus who deserved worshipping had people treat him anyhow but he still did fine. Comparing herself to Jesus, she believes an imperfect person encountering such treatment is just fine.
She, however, noted that she is better than the organizer of awards who does not see her fit for the accolades.
Known for her creative, lively introduction on her show, for the latest episode shared to her youtube handle, she started the show with a bible quotation backing why she is not perturbed about not winning awards.
“Someone asked me why I don’t get nominated for awards in Ghana although my show is popular and I replied: It’s because they have blacklisted me. They said I’m the child of the devil but I’m not surprised because same happened in the bible.
” If you read Mark 6:6, they inquired: Isn’t this the adulterer’s child? Isn’t this the Carpenter’s child? Isn’t this Mary’s child? Isn’t this Josephs’ child? So, even if Jesus was referred to as the adulterer’s child, then who am I? I may not be perfect but I’m better than you, Mr event organizer of awards in Ghana,” she stated.
