Gloria Sarfo has disclosed that despite being a good actress, some filmmakers have neglected and denied roles.
But she added that a few “genuine” and “proper” producers choose real talent like herself over casting actors just for the sake of their relationship with them.
Her comment comes on the back of Yvonne Nelson’s claims.
Last week, filmmaker Yvonne Nelson took to Twitter calling out her colleagues. She claimed the industry is filled with hatred and jealousy.
She added that instead of willingly supporting colleagues, one would have to remind them before they share project artworks, specifically movie fliers to their social media handles and pages.
Gloria was one of the actors who shared their opinions on Yvonne’s claims.
Yvonne started a fresh series of tweets directly calling out Gloria. She claimed Gloria has hated her for a long time now.
She also told Gloria to not wait to be casted by her production and that she should go into production herself.
In an Instagram post Monday August 10, 2020 Gloria she noted that she she does not wait on producers to spot and cast her.
“Even though I’ve been neglected, denied, underrated, ridiculed and called names , despite the fact that I’m good at what I do, I still get roles from proper, genuine and discerningproducers who believe in the abilities of a pure talent and chooses professionalism over familiarity,” she said in her post.
“So I dont wait for them, but rather I try to correct my mistakes, right my wrongs, research about my job, work hard, persevere, maintain a clean heart and mind, pray and earn it,” she added.
