Music duo, DopeNation has disclosed that Kuami Eugene asked them for a collaboration a day after their exit from Lynx Entertainment was officially announced.
According to them, he assured them they were still brothers even though they are no longer on the label.
After a year of being signed to Lynx Entertainment, DopeNation parted ways with the label leaving Eugene and Kidi.
In an interview, Kuami Eugene was asked about the departure of the duo and he wished them well in their endeavour after saying he is glad they left.
He added that their departure makes it easy for benefits to go around- according to him, what would have been shared among four boys will now be shared amongst two: himself and Kidi.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana on Okay FM’s ‘Ekwansodwoodwoo’ they noted that they actually agreed to the collaboration and that they are shocked that Kuami Eugene will tell the media he is glad the two left Lynx Entertainment.
“I think it was a day after we had officially been signed out and Eugene called and he was like Charley you guys are not with us anymore, we’re still my brothers and then he asked for a feature so we were like yeah we’ll do it,” they said adding that they always saw Richie an icon and Eugene saw them as a family but they are “very disappointed” at him for making such comment.
They advised that Eugene “should learn how to talk”.
