Actress Efia Odo has suggested that every government official in Ghana must ride in locally made cars, specifically Kantanka’s.
This she believes is a way of promoting the agenda to use Ghana made products.
The Kantanka Group of Companies was founded by the pastor of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka in 1994.
They have been manufacturers of cars, TVs, sound systems and a lot more.
Last year, the CEO of Kantanka Automobile, Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Junior in an interview told kuulpeeps.com that the Ministry of Education placed the order for 160 of the Kantanka vehicles.
And in January this year, the Minister of Science, Environment, Technology and Innovations, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng noted that the government is ready to support the Kantanka Group of Companies by patronizing their products.
Reports by adomfmonline indicate that the minister said this on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen
“The immediate support we can give to Kantanka is to patronise his products more for government institutions or even schools to help boost his company,” the minister is quoted to have said.
But Efia believes “they don’t like Ghana made products.”
She took to Twitter to say: “Every government official should be driving a Kantanka Car. I guess they don’t like Ghana made products.”
People have always complained about the price of made in Ghana products but she says, “If they can buy v8 they can buy kantanka.”
Every government official should be driving a Kantanka Car. I guess they don’t like Ghana made products.
