I’ve been trying to follow the steps of Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang – Mzbel

Musician Mzbel has disclosed she wishes to be like ex-president John Dramani Mahama’s running mate, Professor Naana Opoku- Agyemang.

She noted that she has never seen the professor in person but all the stories she has read about her inspires her to be a better person.

According to her, Professor Naana Jane is a “god” who is real and exists unlike stories in books that cannot be proven.

She made this comment in a Facebook live video on August 11, 2020, when she was addressing claims that she mentioned Professor Naana Jane as the one who pleaded on Nigel Gaisie’s behalf.

“I’ve never met professor Naana Jane. I don’t even know her. I only heard about her and ever since I heard about her, I’ve been reading about her, trying to follow her steps,” she said

“Ever since she was unveiled, a lot of people have tried to tarnish her, tag her with so many things and you can tell it proved futile. If you mention my name now, you’d hear a lot. I wish I was a woman like her,” she added.

“So, I read about her each day. I have tasked myself to always share her inspiring stories for people to also read and learn,” she further said adding that she respects her a lot and “I’m trying to live in her shadow. If I were a Christian, I’d have said I’m trying to tap in her anointing.”
