Rapper Edem says he does not pray through Jesus Christ or any medium to get to God.
Raised by the doctrines of the catholic faith, he noted that he used to practice praying through Mary but as he grew, he started questioning the logic of having to pray through someone before getting one’s needs.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, he said he prefers a quick response so he would rather just pray directly to God.
“I was raised on the Catholic faith and sometimes you have to pray through Mary and then the bible also says you go through Christ to God so growing now and being an adult, I just know that I have to pray to God. It doesn’t have to be any medium or through Mary or anything.
“Because I’m confused at the point where the catholic faith says we can go through Mary and then the charismatic faith says you can go through Jesus. That is you growing up but now you’re an adult. You’re asking yourself on a very logical level: why should my son go through somebody to come and talk to me as a father?” he quizzed.
“And Charley God is my gee, I connect with him directly. I like things quick,” he added.
