Ghanaian rapper Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, known in showbiz as Amerado has rubbished claims that womanising is a contributing factor to the downfall of artistes.
In an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Ghana Weekend TV, the ‘YeeteNsem’ rapper said the love for women is not part of the things that distract artistes from their purpose.
According to him, it is not the woman that write the songs for the artistes – because of that, he does not think dealing with women should be a factor for the underperformance of an artiste.
He also said that he is more concerned about making hit songs and releasing good music than focusing too much on cars.
He said if a record label signs him, he would rather work is done in getting him up there than getting him a car not seeing the work done. Amerado said, once his brand grows, all other good things will come his way.
The young rapper who recently released ‘Twa So’ featuring Fameye, has been running the ‘YeeteNsem’episodes, a weekly news update of happenings in the country woven into rap music.
