Hiplife artiste turned Evangelist, Abraham Philip Akpor Kojo Kainya, popularly known as Lord Kenya, has disclosed that he used to beat his wife mercilessly before he got the calling to serve God.

He noted that under the influence of drugs he was so aggressive, he did things he should not have done.

He recounted that after losing his daughter, he felt she was killed. This he said made him “crazy. wild”.

According to him, a man he met in America told him “something dramatic” would happen in his life in 2010 but he did not pay heed to the words.

He told Frema Adunyame and Ato Kwamina on Citi TV’s Upside Down show that before he gave his life to Christ, he fought with his wife.

On the very day, he gave his life to Christ, he said he got into a big fight with the wife that drew crowds to the scene.

“Those times I used to beat wifey crazy. I was crazy and it was so sinful and when I go off those times you can’t handle me. We’ve been fighting those times but this time I think it was too much,” he disclosed.

This October 28 will mark ten years since he joined the ministry.
