Reverend Evangelist Lord Kenya has disclosed that while he was mentoring Okomfour Kwaadee, he gave him weed to smoke.

The once upon a time big rapper, Kwadee has been in the mental facility for some time now.

Prior to being in the mental rehabilitation centre, the family of Kwadee called for help for their son when the situation started.

Lord Kenya feeling somewhat responsible for Kwaadee’s situation went to his aid and put him in the mental facility.

Months ago, videos surfaced on the internet showing Lord Kenya hugging and having a hearty conversation with Kwadee when he visited the rapper in the facility.

The videos and pictures of their meeting went viral. This triggered the family to write a letter to Evangelist Lord Kenya to stay away from their son.

According to Evangelist Lord Kenya who addressed the issue in a video, the letter was dated June 15, 2020.

In an interview on Citi TV’s Upside Down show on August 30, 2020, Lord Kenya explained that he was only trying to help solve Kwadee’s situation.

“My prayers are with him. It’s a long story. I was trying to help him because I got him to smoke some of this weed those times when he was brought up to me by his producer,” he said.

Lord Kenya believes he should rather be in the mental facility taking into account how much he abused all kinds of drugs.

“I mean if it’s anything I’m supposed to to be in rehab because I was the one who was doing it in extremely and saved by grace. So, I wanted to just extend a hand…Bu the whole thing was twisted. His family members… The reason why I was doing that was to help him as a brother so whatever has happened, at least I tried my best and I still pray for him and we’re trying our best also to support him in the little ways that we can so, we should wish him well,” he stated.
