Israel Adesanya, one of the best strikers in the world of mixed martial arts has sent out some sweet words to Ghanaian broadcaster, Yaw Sakyi.
Israel, in a video chanced upon by ghanaweekend.com, sent out greetings to Yaw Sakyi, who he mentioned once taught him in school while he was in Ghana.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria to a family of five children, he relocated to Ghana in 2001 with his family for 10 months.
That is when he schooled at Sunny Side International School at Nii Boi Town where radio and television personality, Yaw Sakyi, used to be his teacher. Yaw was also his private home teacher.
After recounting the fond memories in an Instagram interaction, he did a short video to that effect.
“I remember you, sir. You probably still do. You used to flex on everybody. I respect and appreciate you. You’ve always been good,” he said.
Yaw, therefore, posted the video on his Instagram page with the caption: “FINALLY connected with my former student who is indisputably one of the finest World Champions of our time @stylebender . Very cool to know he still remembers me after all these years. He made my day with this video. Ladies and gentlemen, Hail The King of UFC Octagon.”

Currently, Adesanya is currently based in New Zealand.
Yaw Sakyi, who has worked with Choice FM, TV Africa, TV3 and other media networks in the past, is currently the General Manager of DNT TV, Chief Executive Officer of Rite Sports and also own De’lish Restaurant.
