Ghanaian dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla has charged the police to compensate people for harms they have caused them in the discharge of their work.
Stonebwoy, who got hurt in his limb due to an accident caused by a police vehicle when he was 14, took to Twitter to ask the police to take responsibility of their victims when such incidents happen. That accident claimed the life of his twin.
“As if I’ve forgotten that it’s One police Jeep that ran into Us And Fxxkd My Knee Up.. mans been living with implants From age 14. The Police Force never took responsibility. You Need To Compensate the Lives Lost And The Bodies You Disabled. Share your story,” he wrote.

This comes on the back of police brutalities in Nigeria which has resulted in protests by a lot of Nigerians and influential celebrities.
Most of these protestors in Nigeria, have been maltreated by the police after pressing on the government to disband the Special Armed-Robbery Squad, unit of the police aimed at curbing armed robbery.
After complaining that SARS had used inhumane means in the course of their work, the government has changed it to Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).
In Ghana, there have also been instances where the police have been criticised for brutalising people.
