Liberian artiste Jaredo has revealed that the biggest Ghanaian song in Liberia is ‘Bestie’ by Abochi.
“The hottest song in Liberia now is this song called ‘Bestie’. I don’t know the artiste’s name but it is big in Liberia,” he said.
He added that Ghanaian music is doing well abroad but the artistes don’t move out there to promote them.
He mentioned in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM that Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kuami Eugene and King Promise are the major artistes making it big in Liberia.
“Ghanaian artistes are not promoting their brands in Liberia because we listen to their songs, we play their music but we don’t know them. We don’t know their faces, we don’t know their names,” he said on Hitz FM.
‘Bestie’ which was released by Abochi about nine months ago under Lifeline Records and about 1.2 million views on YouTube.
Abochi, also a music producer, produced and featured on Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Hallelujah’.
