After claiming that he was uncomfortable with the political lines in Sarkodie’s ‘Happy Day’, Kuami Eugene was performing the song with Sarkodie last night at +233 Jazz Bar.
The song, since its release, has stoked controversy, judging from the lines that seem to endorse the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo.
Even though Sarkodie has suggested that he did not do the song for Nana Addo and the NPP, some critics are of the opinion it was just a diversionary tactic.
Kuami had earlier said in the interview that he did not know Sarkodie had those lines until he went for the video shoot.
So, why was he gleefully backing Sarkodie on stage?
Well, time will tell.
Watch the video below:
Here is 'uncomfortable' @KuamiEugene performing #HappyDay with @sarkodie at a programme yesterday.
Watch carefully. When Sarkodie was rapping the 'Nana Toaso' lines, he was gleefully backing.
The strategy worked for them though.😃@AtoKwamina_ @kwakudavidgh @OleleSalvador pic.twitter.com/DEsysoV2KT
