Since Ghanaian dancehall artiste Emmanuel Andrew Samini declared his support for the New Patriotic Party there have been mixed reactions on his move.
While something, he should be allowed to exercise his political rights, others think he should stick to his music and not meddle in political affairs.
He has even been bashed for saying in 2016 that it was not right for celebrities to canvass support for political figures and their parties.
However, in a recent tweet, he has addressed some of those issues, stating that he has a political ambition and can not pretend he is not bothered about what happens in the political milieu.
“As an almost 40-year-old musician with possible political ambitions, I think I can start from somewhere bro. How about MP or something someday? or you say I no go fit? Lol don’t do that bro. Democracy is meant to me freedom…” he said in one of his replies to a tweep.

In another tweet, he also explained his decision to declare his support for the NPP than stay neutral.
“I disagree bro. We talk politics by bashing politicians every day. I say one can only know the reality when one is fully involved with the process. Hence my decision to waive my neutral status as a sacrifice to get continuity for us in development and progress as a nation,” he wrote.
