Gospel artiste, Akua Emelia on January 1, visited the Remar Orphanage as well as Apire Orphanage in celebration of New Year’s Day.
Remar Orphanage is located at Patasi and Apire at Santasi in Kumasi. She visited both homes with food items, drinks, and boxes of biscuits.
Last year, during her radio interviews and promotional tours the ace gospel artiste pledged her support to the less privileged especially children. She also pledged to seek financial support from international agencies to help her build and renovate a children’s ward at Korle Bu teaching hospital.
‘I always want to help those in need especially orphans because they need all the love they can get. I pray that this will be the first of many,’ Akua said.
Akua Emelia released her first single; ‘fa me sie’ which received a lot AirPlay across the country. Her song was a chart-topping one. She hopes to release her next single; ‘Gyino Di’ soon.
Akua was also nominated in two categories (Music Video and New Gospel Artiste) at the Ghana National Gospel Music Awards 2020.
The ‘Fa Me Sie’ hitmaker together with her husband and management is very grateful to God for making it possible for her to fulfil this dream. She hopes to expand the support to other organizations in critical need of help.
