Upon the announcement of the new coronavirus restrictions by the President Nana Akufo-Addo yesterday, some entertainers have expressed worry over losing their source of livelihood.
In his 23rd address on COVID-19, the President placed a ban on some social gatherings including concerts, theatrical performances, weddings, among others. He said cinemas still remain closed.
However, churches and other religious gatherings are allowed to operate by following the COVID-19 protocols.
Reacting to this, comedian OB Amponsah wrote on Facebook: “Time to take comedy to churches. They are still open. Hello my ICGC friends.”

The new restrictions have come as a result of the recent rise in cases of coronavirus infections in the country.
Since the outbreak of the virus, a lot of creatives have been affected.
Most of them have had to resort to virtual concerts to keep their crafts and careers alive.
