Actress Efia Odo has broached an argument on social media about the need for Africans to stop having white weddings and rather settle for traditional weddings.
In a tweet, she indicated that anytime decides to get married she would not go for a white wedding.
According to her, white weddings are foreign, and that no European will practice an African culture.
“If I do get married I don’t want a “white wedding”. I want a beautiful Ghanaian traditional marriage. You don’t see Caucasian/Europeans practicing African traditional marriages so why should we practice theirs?” she tweeted.
