If you use my video and you add my wife’s name, I’ll sue you – Hopeson Adorye to bloggers

The husband of gospel musician Empress Gifty, Hope Adorye, has warned the media from tagging him with his wife’s name and brand.

In a video circulating on social media, the Parliamentary Candidate for Kpone Katamanso on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party in the 2020 elections said people should be able to differentiate between his political brand and his wife’s gospel ministry.

He noted that some bloggers, especially, are fond of making reference to him anytime they mentioned Empress Gifty’s name and vice versa.

He cautioned that if these media people do not desist from the practice, he would sue them.

“If you pick any material of me and you attach my wife’s name, I will sue you,” he said.

He went ahead to say that he detests the quest of some people to draw his wife into the political business he is engaged in.

“I am a politician, my wife is not a politician. She is a gospel musician. I don’t understand why if a blogger wants to use my video, he’ll use my wife’s name and not mine. What’s the meaning of that? I don’t understand,” he noted.

“If you are using my video, mention my name ‘Hopeson Adorye’. Take my wife out of my videos. Take my wife out of my political engagements,” he further noted.

The Ghanaian politician and renowned gospel singer Gifty Osei tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tema on Friday, December 28, 2018.

Gifty was very instrumental in a lot of activities during the political campaign of her husband, last year.
