Justice Amoah popularly known as Patapaa in the showbiz circles has given highlife Kuami Eugene a three-day ultimatum to apologise to Guru over a statement he made recently.
He said if Kuami Eugene does not render an apology to Guru for disrespecting him, he’ll hit the studios and record a diss track on him.
“Even if Kuami Eugene did not want to do a song with Guru he should not have replied in the manner he did it,” he said.
Speaking to KMJ on Joy Prime television, the rapper who was on the show with his wife Liha said that those who advised Eugene to respond to Guru should ask him to apologise to the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker.
“I am giving him three days to apologise. If not, I will also record a song and diss him,” he said.
A few days ago Guru went mad at Kumai Eugene after the latter had said in a television interview that Guru can’t be disrespecting his boss (Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment) on media platforms as still ask him for a feature.
He asked Guru to settle his differences with Richie before any collaboration between them could be done.
“Guru did not use the right channel. You want to feature me but you go to media houses to insult the man who made me. I wouldn’t have been Kuami Eugene but for Richie so I expect that respect is accorded him no matter the differences that exist. I am under Lynx Entertainment and any song I produce needs to go through them,” he explained.
While some people thought Kuami Eugene’s statement was harmless, others believe it reeked of disrespect to a senior colleague in the music business.
If Patapaa really records a diss song for Kuami Eugene it might rekindle an old beef that existed between the two.
A few years ago, Kuami Eugene was seriously lashed for saying in an interview that he would never do a song with Patapaa because he does not do good songs.
Later, he apologised.
Kuami Eugene is the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year 2020.
