Ivorian movie director based in Ghana is considering leaving the country because he believes the Ghanaian movie industry is dead.
He wrote on Twitter that he relocated to Ghana ten years ago to work in the film industry but things have gotten so bad that he may just leave for Ivory Coast.
“I’ve been in Ghana for 10 years now. The music video industry was dope, but the film industry in the country is just fucked up dead. That’s where my real passion is. Should I leave 🤷🏾♂️?” he wrote.
Currently, the National Film Authority has said that it is put in place measures to revive the film industry.
They have started by selecting a brand name for the industry.
He has been nominated in the Entertainment Achievement Awards 2021 in the Best Director category.
