The issue of getting hit songs has become the bane of Ghanaian artiste Article Wan.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Article Wan said a musician should not be tired of doing research to know what the fans would want.
Talking about the dynamics involved in getting a hot song, he wondered why Kuami Eugene would make mega-hits but Kuami Guitar who does equally good music would not have the same attention.
He suggested that Kumi goes to the drawing board to figure out what will help him get more hit songs.
“Although it is difficult to tell which songs make the hit, we should be able to do research on what fans want. For example, why is Kuami Eugene getting the hits but Kumi Guitar is not getting the attention he needs?”
“Maybe, Kumi Guitar has to go back to the drawing board and do his homework well and get the fans to start enjoying his music to the fullest,” he said.
Kumi Guitar, formerly called Nightmare has been in the music industry for almost two decades.
The Zylofon artiste has songs such as ‘Break into Two’, ‘Betweener’, ‘Dream’, ‘Mmaa Time’, ‘Sex’, among others.
