The Chairman of the National Film Authority, David Dontoh has named his all-time favourite movie, apart from the ones he has acted in.
He mentioned to Frema Adunyame and Nana Tuffour Boateng on Citi TV’s ‘Upside Down’ show that a movie called ‘China Syndrome’ is one that has always tickled his fancy.
It is not clear why he did not mention any Ghanaian movie but for a long time, some have criticised Ghanaian movies for lacking quality.
David Dontoh, as the Chairman of the National Film Authority, has reiterated his resolve in the revival of the industry.
Ordinarily, some would have wished that he mentioned a Ghanaian film to at least give some hope for the industry.
David Dontoh is known for his sterling roles in movies such as ‘Sika Sunsum’, ‘Beasts of No Nation’, ‘Somewhere in Africa’, ‘Ties That Bind’, ‘Deadly Voyage’, ‘Kukurantumi- Road to Accra’, ‘No Time to Die’ and
The Cursed One.
