Ghanaian artiste Fameye has told Citi TV’s Emmanuel Sarpong on Citi Countdown that he had a problem with his keys when he held his Greater Than album last year.
According to him, because he is more used to miming, performing with a live band was a challenge to him.
He noted that he even did not get some of his keys right, a reason he is bent on honing his performance with the live band.
“Most of we the young artiste are more into the miming and I am trying to master my live band and so I had few challenges with my keys here and there but all the same it was good and I am still learning. Because I want to be there; I want to be part of the Amakye Dede’s the Daasebre Gyamera’s,” he said.
Performing with a live band has been one of the biggest problems for most musicians.
In Ghana, a lot of these artistes have been overly bashed for their lack of skill in performing live.
However, artistes like Amakye Dede, Diana Hamilton, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Samini, Efya, and others have been touted as Ghana’s stage masters as far as live band performance is concerned.
