Ateaa Tina returns to music with Lumina Entertainment after 15 years

Ghanaian Record Label Lumina Entertainment (LE) on Thursday, March 18, 2021, announced the signing of US-based Ghanaian musician, Ateaa Tina.

Ateaa Tina who has worked on records alongside Daddy Lumba and Esther Amoako in the past is making a comeback into the Ghanaian music industry with this record label deal with Lumina Entertainment after fifteen years break.

The progressive record deal according to the CEO of Lumina Entertainment, Kwame Amporful is expected to last for 3 years and the artiste, Ateaa Tina is expected to produce three studio albums during her stay with the label.

According to the label, Lumina Entertainment they are proud to be associated with the comeback of Ateaa Tina and are already in the studios.

“The team at LE is proud to be associated with the comeback of the most sensational female music artiste of our time. We are happy to hint that we are already in the studios working on her first single, which is featuring her old-time friend, Okyeame Kwame,” they said.

Speaking to the press about what her biggest achievement will be during her stay at Lumina Entertainment, Ateaa Tina said:  “I think any job that you put your mind to, the goal is to achieve success in the end. That’s the same way I feel about music. I’m not in to play a game; I’m not in competition but yet still I’m ready to work and achieve the highest level of anything…the awards, name it. Everything that is the highest standard of achieving in the music industry, I’m willing to work as hard to get it. That’s the main goal.”

About Ateaa Tina

Ateaa Tina was born in Accra to Mr. Agyemang and Georgina Nduro. She has six siblings; four boys and one sister. She briefly schooled in Ghana before moving to Amsterdam, the Netherlands at the age of 11. 

In Holland, she attended Bijlmer Drie school in Amsterdam before heading to Marcantie College. Ateaa Tina has a degree in Medical Assistant from Esprit Scholen Groep. After school, she worked at several hospitals as Medical Assistant, including Academic Medical Center (Amsterdam).

Ateaa Tina was discovered by renowned Holland-based music producer Kweku Mensah. It was through him that she got to work with Daddy Lumba, Esther Amoako and many others. In the year 2003, she collaborated with Daddy Lumba to release the album “Bubra”, which contained hits like “Pony”, “Adaka Tea” and “Dada Kae”. In all she has worked with Lumba on five albums: “Mema Ma Wotrim Ne”, “Bubra”, “Odo Bewu Dee”, “Ahenfo Kyiniye”, and “Give Peace a Chance”. 

The first prominent artist she worked with was the gospel musician Esther Amoako. She was the main backing vocalist on all the songs on the Metrimu Po Nye Bone album, which had hits like the “He Can Do It” and the title track. 

Tina is currently based in Atlanta, United States married with kids where she also owns a clothing line, DeeTee Style.
