One of the challenges women face in their daily activities is combining work with caring for their children.
For Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo, she once lost a movie role because she left a set to breastfeed her child.
Speaking with Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio’s ‘Between Hours’ she had to go home and attend to her child because while on set, she kept receiving numerous calls from her mother who was babysitting at that time that the baby would not sleep even after she had given her all the milk available.
She had kept long because the shoot had delayed.
Beverly added that a week after this, she got a call from a colleague who told her that her role had been taken from her because she had left the set to take care of her baby.
