‘This Year’ hitmaker, Mr. Drew has said in a recent interview on Okay FM that Kuami Eugene has a “scholarship” in stealing songs.
He said this when the host Abeiku Santana said the two of them are fond of stealing people’s songs.
In his response, he said, “Kuami Eugene started stealing songs before me, he has a scholarship in it”.
He however added that they don’t really steal songs.
“…but the thing is that we don’t steal songs, it is all about creativity,” he said.
Signed to the Highly Spiritual Music record label, he was heavily mauled in 2020 after samlpling Nigerian artiste Rotimi’s ‘Love Riddim’ for his song ‘Eat’.
The song was deleted from his YouTube over copyright reasons.
