Gospel musician, Diana Asamoah on Monday. 10th May 2021 appeared before the Ga Traditional Council following some unsavoury comments she made about the Ga people and Homowo.
A few weeks ago, Diana in one of her videos described Ga festival Homowo as idol worship and called for its abolishment in the near future.
After the Ga Adangme Youth organised a press conference to register their displeasure about her statement, she did another video to apologise.
According to a report by Atina FM, at the traditional council, the case was presided by the acting president, Nii Adotey Otintor II together with some chiefs and priests from the Ga Mashie quarters of Accra.
She expressed remorse for her comments and went down on her knees to beg for mercy from the chiefs.
