One of Ghana’s enterprising musicians, Kelvyn Boy has responded to claims of music theft by most of the young musicians including him.
Veteran highlife musician, Oheneba Kissi, told Nana Ama McBrown on UTV’s United Showbiz program that he’s taken an action against Kelvyn Boy for taking portions of his song.
According to Oheneba Kissi, he said Kelvynboy has a penchant for sampling his songs without seeking any permission.
In an interview with Zylofon FM, Kelvyn said it is not really wrong for the young artistes to add a few lines and melodies of old songs to make the younger generation relate to these old songs.
He said the old musicians whose songs are usually sampled should even be thankful to them for the act.
