ShayGang! Stand up! Your queen and Rufftown Records’ princess, her ladyship Wendy Shay is set to release her second studio album titled ‘Shayning Star!’ The “Uber Driver” hitmaker made the announcement on all of her official social media pages bookmarking Friday, May 28 2021 for the release date.
Her first studio album – “Shay On You” which was released in 2019 properly positioned the AfroPop and Afrobeats star in a male dominated music industry, making her a household name locally and globally.
Riding on the success of the album which had hit songs like “Uber Driver”, “Bedroom Commando”, “Astalavista” etc. Wendy Shay has been able to etch her name in the hearts of many, including those who may not like her personality.
Wendy Shay, who has taken a number of turns in the wheels of controversy, revealed that this new album “is an embodiment of great art.” Art can be controversial when it is not understood. Though the definition of “great art” may be subjective, Wendy Shay believes this will be a masterpiece.
