Charles Nii Armah, known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has a plea to the government to invest in the music industry and use it as a tourism tool.

According to him, if the government invests 10% of the sports budget on music, it could push the music industry to global levels

Shatta Wale made the statement during his State of the Industry address on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

“Finally, on the industry matters, I want to again plead with the leadership of the state to institute an agenda to use music as a tourism tool to promote the country. If the state can spend 10% of the sports budget on music, I am sure it will set us on the road to global heights.”

He went on to thank the people who have continued to show him support and his brands for working with him.

“In conclusion. I wish to thank Ghana for the unflinching love and support for me throughout these years and to other brands and companies that have believed in me enough to sign me to represent their businesses.”
