Gyakie, the daughter of Highlife music legend, Nana Acheampong says a lot of people have requested that she samples some of her dad’s old songs.
In an interview with Kastle FM she said she’s personally looking forward to recording a song with her dad.
This comes a few months after she refuted claims that her success in the music industry is as a result of her father’s influence.
She said even though her father has paid his dues in the music industry, she is bent on charting her own path.
Gyakie gained a lot of prominence on the music scene with the release of her ‘Forever’ song with took her on a tour to Nigeria and a subsequent feature of Nigeria’s Omah Lay on the remix.
She has also topped a lot of charts on international music platforms.
The Sony Music signee is set to release her next single in July and promises it will be bigger than ‘Forever”.
Nana Acheampong is also known for songs like ‘Nanka Ɛbɛyɛ Dɛn Na Ayɛ Wo Ya’, ‘Obaatan’, ‘Mayɛ Obi Deɛ’, among others.
