The Ghana Film Foundation(GFF) has launched its first competition to allow Ghanaians to submit short film scripts.
Stating this in a press release on June 7, 2021, the foundation declared that it will be accepting script submissions from emerging and experienced writers and filmmakers in Ghana.
According to GFF, this competition will provide an opportunity for writers to have their script ideas supported through the development stages until final production.
The winner and first-runner up will receive an amount of Ghc4,000 and Ghc2,000 respectively, including incentives that will help bring their film-making dream into a reality.
Creative industry judges will be selected to review all scripts submitted in the competition. Ghanaian aspiring filmmakers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
This initiative will help revive the movie industry and play in accordance with the presidential pitch series to make Ghana a movie hub for film productions.
Film scripts are to be submitted to www.ghanafilmfoundation.com and questions can be sent via email to [email protected]. The deadline for submission is on July 7, 2021.
