A reply Wiyaala gave to tweep who sought to celebrate her by highlighting how underrated she’s been despite her artistic prowess, has gotten people talking.
The tweep, @stargirlabena commented on a video Wiyaala shared, commending her and suggesting that she has not been celebrated enough.
In her caption, she wrote: Most underrated artist in Ghana, Wiyaala.”
Unhappy with the description, Wiyaala replied with a list of news leadlines by international media networks, which portray her as a superstar.
Wiyaala, despite her international recognition, hardly gets a lot of attention by the media and music patrons in Ghana.
A few years ago, she went mad at entertainment pundits who alluded she was not relevant in Ghana.
She said she decided to focus her attention on the international media because of how unwelcoming the Ghanaian music industry had been to her craft.
