Burna Boy has emerged as the winner for the Best International Act category at this year’s BET Awards.
This is the third time Burna Boy has won the category of Best International Act at the BET Awards, with the first time being in 2019, and the second in 2020, during the COVID Lockdown
English artiste Brenda Wireko Mensah, popularly known as Bree Runway was also crowned the winner of the Viewers Choice: Best New International Act at the awards.
Bree takes over from Sha Sha who won the same category in 2020.
She beat competition from Arlo Parks (UK), Bramsito (France), Tems (Nigeria), Elaine (South Africa), MC Dricka (Brazil), and Ronisia (France).
The BET Awards is an American award show that was established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television
network.
It aims at celebrating African Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
