Kwame Nsiah-Apau, known by his stage name as Okyeame Kwame has revealed his reason for furthering his education.

Discussing this on the Upside Down show on Citi Tv with Frema Adunyame and Nana Tuffour Boateng, the Rap Doctor said that his father-in-law gave him a clearer perspective about adding professionalism to his music career. “Every month, this man will go through local and international newspapers looking for scholarship opportunities for me to go to school,” he said.

Speaking on the show with his wife, Annica  Nsiah-Apau,  they recalled their period of courtship and how they are still staying strong in their marriage.

He added that he didn’t really need to go to school because he was already making it big in the music industry.

Okyeame is a product of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he studied Akan and Sociology for his first degree. He also enrolled at the University of Ghana and graduated in 2016 with a Masters’ Degree in Strategic Marketing.

The couple has been married since 2009 and currently have two children, Sir Kwame Nsiah and Shanti Antwiwaa Nsiah Npau.
